Can anybody tell me where I can get a rubber gearbox cover ? Have searched high and low, but so far been unable to track one down.

Also need hinge balls and a tail/numberplate light.

These are available at the spare parts department of the ACCC (Austin Counties Car Club) You must be a member to use this department. More information on: http://www.austincounties.org.uk/

Thankyou SO much. I'll be broke after buying all the bits I need, but hopefully a whole lot closer to getting my car back on the road :D

How did you go with the gear box cover?

I know a bloke in New South Wales Austrlalia who can do them in fibreglass.

Have a look at:

http://www.jackson-s.com/olderaservices/

He can get the mould off another bloke who has made them up for the eight. The one he has done for the A40 looks really good.

I am also keen to get some made so perhaps the price will be cheaper if we get others in on the order? Just a thought.

Cheers

Hi Greg,

i would also be interested in sourcing a gearbox cover for my eight tourer. I have tried to get one from ACCC but can't even get them to answer my emails so happy to contribute if others also want to have some made locally.

Regards Steve

Great news for me. I got hold of a rubber gearbox cover... not so great news... I had to buy an entire car to get it.

On the bright side, I have a heap more spare parts now :)

Gearbox cover arrived and looks great. You would not know that it is fibreglass.

Happy to send pictures if anyone is interested.
