History & register of the Austin Eight

    I live in Te Kauwhata, in tthe North Waikato of New Zealand and retired and have owned the Austin 8 since the 1980s. It was ownd by my wife, Liz's uncle at Gisborne and we later inherited it from her aunt. The engine had to be reconditioned and much work tidying it up. But it was well worth it and it is a great little car. I call it the Flying Flee 2 as my first car was a 1936 Austin 7 Ruby which was the Flying Flee.                                                                                                                                      I am a member og the Vintage Austin Register NZ (VAR) and the Waikato Morris Club as I also have a 1967 Morris Minor Van. I really enjoy outings with both clubs and rececently had a combined run.
